Super Bowl Prediction
Wow, just a few weeks ago, I remember thinking I would see a Denver vs Seattle match up for Superbowl XLVII. I mean seriously, With Peyton Manning in a Broncos uniform, surely he would be able to take care of the Ravens in that Mile High atmosphere. I'd guess about 8o% of NFL analysis and fans, including myself, were ready to hand Denver their tickets to big game. And with the momentum that Seattle had, and after smacking the 49ers at home 42-13 (49ers also had 13pts in previous win vs Seahawks earlier in the season). So I was ready for the final round, to get Seattle to the Super Bowl vs Denver.
Well. no one told Ray Lewis and the Raven that they were suppose to Bow Down, nor did the 49ers fail on completing there quest for return to dominance. Now the match up is set for HarBowl I. And I must say, I actually have come to like this match up better than what I had anticipated. Both teams are stacked with talent. Both teams have amazing speed, skill players, great defense, good QB's! I mean the match ups are endless, only to top it off with the 1st match up of brothers coaching against each other for the Lombardi Trophy.
Now being originally from San Francisco, and having suited up before in a 49ers uniform, (signed with Broncos after SF training camp '98), and my cousin, Gary Lewis, also played back in the day, one would think I would have to pick the home team. However, I believe in destiny. It as I witnessed late in the game vs the Broncos, and Patriots, these Ravens won't just be chicken wings for the gold miners to feast on. These birds got bite in that beak, and if they come out as hot as they have been through out the play offs, Ray Lewis will be riding off into the sunset like John Elway and Jerome Bettis. If not, I am afraid it could be roast turkey on the bbq. I don't see a close one here. Will Flacco will have a big day, or will Kaepernick's mobility be too much for the Ravens?
